ORAU wins multiple communications awards from Public Relations Society of America

Volunteer Chapter of PRSA recognizes ORAU with awards of excellence, quality, merit during annual ceremony

Volunteer Chapter PRSA V Awards tropies

ORAU received two of eight total Awards of Excellence presented recently at the Public Relations Society of American Volunteer Chapter annual event.

OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—The Public Relations Society of America Volunteer Chapter recently presented ORAU with two of its eight first place Awards of Excellence for outstanding work as determined by industry peers. The awards recognize the best in public relations programs, products and achievements in the East Tennessee region. Entries were judged by a peer chapter located Nebraska.

ORAU also received two Awards of Quality, or second place awards, and two Awards of Merit, or third place awards, walking away with recognition for all six entries submitted. This year represented the 40th year for this annual competition.

ORAU won awards in the following categories:

Award of Excellence

  • Public Service: ORAU Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign for the CDC
  • Internal Communications: ORAU Communicates Benefits to Employees

Award of Quality

  • Issues Management: ORAU Active Shooter Exercises Program
  • Books: ORAU Medical Management of Radiation Inquiries Book

Award of Merit

  • Internal Websites: ORAU Safety 1st Website
  • Community Relations: ORAU 2014 Extreme Classroom Makeover
