OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—ORAU is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its $25,000 Extreme Classroom Makeover competition. Now in its ninth year, the competition provides the latest educational technologies to update one teacher’s classroom. The contest is open to public school math and science teachers who teach grades 3rd-10th and are located within a 50-mile radius of Oak Ridge, Tenn.

Beginning this year ORAU has expanded the contest to include teams of no more than two teachers. Both educators must teach a STEM subject at the same school and demonstrate a clear plan in their entry video regarding how they would share the technology.

After submitting an intent-to-apply form, entrants will be required to submit a full application and a 3-4 minute video that illustrates potential uses of technology and the need for technology in their classrooms.
