2010 ORAU Extreme Classroom
Makeover Contest

About the Contest

Would a classroom outfitted with $25,000 worth of interactive technology give a boost to young students trying to learn math and science in today’s increasingly high tech world? ORAU believes it would. And we’ve put our money where our mouth is.

This belief has become the foundation of the ORAU Extreme Classroom Makeover—a local competition awarding one deserving middle school teacher with a room full of the latest educational technology and a year’s worth of training and support.

To qualify, contestants must

  • teach math or science for 5th-8th grade
  • work for a public school located within 50 miles of Oak Ridge, Tenn.
  • submit a 3-4 minute video illustrating the need and potential uses of technology in their classrooms

To participate in this contest, review the 2010 Contest Guidelines and submit your application materials and video entry.
