Intense Pulsed Neutrino Facility Mission Statement
The Intense Pulsed Neutrino Facility is a collaborative effort between physicists from 18 universities, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Oak Ridge Associated Universities. Its mission is to construct a unique, multipurpose, underground neutrino facility at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) at Oak Ridge.

This facility will utilize neutrinos, produced as a by-product of the SNS, to enhance our understanding of nature, for example: solar and stellar evolution, supernova dynamics, properties of neutrinos, production of heavy elements in the universe, and nuclear theory.

Capable of multiple and diverse experiments, IPNF would become a center for the training of future generations of nuclear and particle neutrino scientists and astrophysicists.
