The example shown above is relatively large: the base is 12.5" x 18" while the coil itself is 6.5" in diameter and 8.5" long. Although there is no identification on it, it was almost certainly built by the Thordarson Electrical Manufacturing Company. Probably in the 1920s. It seems to be in very good shape, so it didn't see much use. |
