General Electric RB-2-4.5 Radiator Tube (ca. 1930s)

This General Electric tube seems to be very similar to the Model RB-1-4:  it uses a dual focus cathode (two filaments of differing sizes), and the target angle is close to 20 degrees. The "2" in the model number indicates that one of the filaments produces a fine to medium focus while the "4.5" indicates that the other filament produces a very broad focus.  More specifically, this number indicates the approximate diameter of the projected focal spot in mm. A switch would normally be connected to the tube that would allow the radiologist to select which filament would be used. Such a switch can be seen plugged onto the end of the General Electric RB-1-4 radiator tube.
Size: ca. 14" long (excluding rod for radiator fins), 3 3/4" bulb diameter
