Understanding the Universe through IR and Submillimeter Astrophysics was sponsored by the Southeast Laboratory Astrophysics Community and its member institutions.  SELAC’s purpose is to promote astronomy, astrophysics, and laboratory astrophysics in the region and more broadly. The workshop’s focus was the exciting research ongoing and forthcoming in the IR and Sub-mm wavebands along with the relevant activities in laboratory astrophysics.  Invited talks were presented by observers representing major IR/Sub-mm missions and observatories, modelers, and laboratory astrophysicists.

Registration – (Completed) Early registration ended April 8.  On-line registration ended April 28.

Hotel – The conference hotel was the Hilton Suites Lexington Green, (859) 271-4000 (voice), (859) 273-2975 (FAX), (859) 271-7101 (direct line to sales manager Ms. Crystal Biroschik), 245 Lexington Green Circle, Lexington, KY 40503).  A shuttle bus was arranged for transport to and from the conference site. 

Reaching Lexington – Lexington may be reached via the Blue Grass Airport, which is served by Continental Express, Delta, Northwest Airlink, United Express, and US Air Express. A free shuttle from the airport to the Hilton Suites Lexington Green is available as are rental cars and taxis.
