Mentoring Program

The Mentoring Program aims to increase interdisciplinary collaboration and meaningful use of CFDE datasets. This program supports professional development through pairing mentors from a CFDE Data Coordinating Center with our mentee teams. The program intends to provide opportunities for more in-depth integration of CFDE data within the academic learning environment. Check back for more information when we launch the 2026 program.

The Decoding the Data Ecosystem Collaborative aims to increase interdisciplinary collaboration and meaningful use of CFDE datasets. As our first initiative, we are hosting faculty/student teams (hereafter referred to as mentee teams) from June to August 2025 in a pilot mentoring program. Unlike other student internship programs, this program supports professional development through pairing mentors from a CFDE Data Coordinating Center with our mentee teams. The program intends to provide CFDE mentors and their programs opportunities for more in-depth integration of CFDE data within the academic learning environment through direct engagement with both faculty and students.

Additional Information

Thank you to our mentee teams for their participation in our 2025 pilot program!
