Data Visualization Competition - April 15 – June 30, 2026

Calling all researchers, students, educators, designers, science communicators, and data scientists to join the CFDE Training Center Data Visualization Competition!

• Am I Eligible to Join?

  Eligibility is open to anyone based in the United States, who is at least 18 years old. 

  * Please Note: Payment restrictions apply to certain immigration statuses. If you are a Foreign National conducting work inside the U.S., you need to review your immigration status to determine your eligibility for an honorarium payment. 

• Prizes

  Up to $1000 in prizes will be awarded to winning visualizations!

  Visualizations will be judged based on scientific accuracy, public interpretability, visual clarity, creativity, audience accessibility, and narrative quality. 

• Submission Requirements

  • Submissions must be entered by 11:59 p.m. PST on June 30, 2026.
  • Each submission should include the visualization, a 500-word max narrative explaining the data sources and story, and a statement of intended audience (researchers, clinicians, administrators, public, etc.). 

  • Any submission must be your original work and solely owned by the author. 

  • AI-generated or AI-assisted image creation is strictly prohibited. 

  • Only one submission per individual is allowed. 

  • Selected submissions will be recognized on the CFDE Training Center website and highlighted on our social media.
