ORAU names Kris Emery new controller
Financial executive brings more than 25 years of finance, accounting and analyst experience to ORAU
OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—Kris Emery, former director of finance and operations for Burkhart & Company accounting firm in Knoxville, has been named controller for ORAU.
In his new role, Kris will provide financial leadership and will serve an instrumental role in forming accounting strategies.
"We are excited to have Kris join our team in this leadership role," said ORAU Vice President and CFO Phil Andrews. "His extensive financial operations experience, especially in the federal arena, will enhance our strategic financial operations."
Emery brings more than 25 years of financial experience from a variety of organizations, including Oak Ridge National Laboratory when it was managed by Lockheed Martin, University of Tennessee Medical Center and Catholic Health Partners/Mercy Health Partners.
Emery holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
