ORAU promotes Katie Moran to facilities operations manager
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — Katie Moran, AIA, ORAU senior facilities architect, has been promoted to facilities operations manager.
In her new role, Moran will oversee ORAU facilities engineering, maintenance, custodial services, and building and improvement projects while ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainability goals are met through efficient operating procedures.
“We are excited for Katie to take on this new role as she brings extensive project management and infrastructure-improvement experience with her,” said Chad Becker, director of ORAU’s Facilities and Transportation Department. “We look forward to Katie adding many new ORAU projects to her list of successfully managed projects.”
Prior to joining ORAU in 2019, Moran served in various capacities, including project manager, at Studio Four Design, Inc., from July 2012 to March 2019. Before that, she was an architect intern at Upland Design Group, Inc., in Crossville.
Moran holds a bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design, and is certified by the American Institute of Architects. She serves on the board of AIA East Tennessee.
