Radiation Safety in Medical Facilities for Ancillary Personnel
Online continuing education course for technical individuals working in or around areas with radioactive materials or radiation-producing equipment
Introduction
Radiation and radionuclides are routinely used in medical facilities for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Federal and/or state regulations (OSHA, NRC, TJC), as well as local policies, require medical facilities to provide radiation safety training for ancillary personnel (technical and non-technical) whose duties involve working in or around areas with radioactive materials or radiation-producing equipment.
A request has been submitted to the American Academy of Health Physics for 8 Continuing Education Credits upon completion of this course.
