Advanced Minecraft in Education

Target Audience: K-12th Grade Teachers

This session is an extension of the Minecraft Education - Introduction for Beginners course. Here, we will delve a bit deeper on how to create and host worlds where students can collaborate on projects or work independently. The instructor will also share their solution to sharing self-made lessons with students for easy importing.

It is strongly recommended that participants download the free trial of Minecraft Education. Note that the trial allows for 25 logins.

Howard Dale
Visual Arts Teacher, Kingsport City Schools

As a seasoned elementary visual arts teacher with 22 years of experience in East Tennessee, Howard has dedicated his career to cultivating creativity and critical thinking in his students. He is a Google certified educator and a certified Canvas LMS educator, equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in educational technology. He is also a certified Microsoft Minecraft Education educator, leveraging gamification to engage students in learning. Howard has served as an educational technology teacher leader in Kingsport City Schools for the past four years, providing technology-focused professional development opportunities for multiple school districts in his area. As a member of TETA and the Instructional Learning Network steering committee, Howard collaborates with educators statewide to advance innovative teaching practices. His commitment to excellence and passion for student success has earned him a reputation as a respected and effective educator, and has been nominated as TETA’s 2023 Outstanding Teacher of the Year.
