Handshake Early Talent Awards logo

ORAU Workforce Solutions is among the recipients of the first-ever Early Talent Awards from Handshake, the online early career community and job search platform. The Early Talent Awards recognize best-in-class early talent recruiting programs, like the Environmental Protection Agency National Student Services Contract, which is managed by Workforce Solutions. Awards were presented to companies across 12 industry categories. ORAU is among the winners in the Education, Government and Non-Profits category.

“Early career professionals are going through an unprecedented time in their lives, said Amanda Hurley, workforce solutions section manager. “Being recognized by Handshake as an employer helping the next generation of leaders overcome present-day challenges demonstrates the incredible capabilities of our team. I could not be more proud of the work we have done over the last year to help early career professionals find their first opportunities.”

Handshake selected winners based on applicant engagement metrics in four categories between March 1 and December 31, 2020.

  • Student interest: total number of job views compared to all jobs posted
  • Message engagement: number of clicks per distinct message recipient
  • Brand resonance: number of distinct applicants per job impression
  • Virtual event participation: registrants per virtual fair/event
