ORAU Events Sponsorship Program

Up to $4,000 may be requested to support events which involve participants from more than one ORAU institution. Examples of such events include visits to an ORAU institution by a renowned speaker, conferences or workshops with a focused theme, or a technology transfer/business plan competition.

  • Any ORAU institution in good standing (i.e., membership fees and required reports for existing award programs are current) may submit an application through their ORAU Councilor (only applications endorsed by the ORAU Councilor will be considered).
  • Each ORAU institution is eligible for one event grant per ORAU’s fiscal year (see “Deadlines” below).
    • Awardees of the first cycle may not apply for the second cycle.
    • Awardees of the second cycle may apply for the next fiscal year’s first cycle.
  • Funding must be awarded prior to the event—retroactive funds requests will not be considered

  • Event participation by more than one ORAU institution (however, one ORAU member will submit the proposal and handles the funds).
