MARSAME

Accredited continuing education course on the Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Assessment of Materials and Equipment

Introduction

The Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Assessment of Materials and Equipment Manual (MARSAME) is a supplement to the Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM 2002). MARSAME provides technical information on approaches for planning, implementing, assessing, and documenting surveys to determine proper disposition of materials and equipment. ORAU conducts this four-day course to familiarize individuals with the theory and implementation of the MARSAME manual. The American Academy of Health Physics grants 32 Continuing Education Credits for completion of this course.

What our students are saying

“The classroom exercises were highly useful and did a great job of tying the course materials into actual implementation of MARSAME within both the HP and regulatory framework. The instructors also provided examples and explanations that were easy to understand and related to the work that we do.”

“This course is important and all who are working in regulatory activity and I recommend the course to be given to all regulatory workers.”

“Much better than expected! Good use of examples and experience. This is possibly one of the best professional courses I have attended.”
